Hi All:
I seek clarification on a question. Doing online spousal outland soon.
Details:
Me Sponsor: Never physically met/visited my wife before marriage, went to marry in india, stayed there for 2 months, and back in canada now. No plan to visit her anytime soon.

IMM 5532 Part C Q.4
- If you are not living together, have you visited each other during your relationship - Yes/No.
Yes means you include the initial marital visit. No means you exclude the marital visit.
So my dilemma is that are they asking about any visits after the first visit ( first visit being travelling for marriage)?

Any responses would be highly appreciated, and I hope they are consistently relevant to my scenario.

Q4 is a follow-up to Q3 “Are you currently living together”.
So your answer to 3 is “No”, hence IRCC wants to know if you have visited each other. So you include anytime your travelled for the purposes of seeing each other. So in your case, it sounds like an arranged marriage. So your answer to Q4 is you only travelled to meet each other once, and you were together for two months, and explain the details of these two months.

Does that clarify things?

Thanks Dim for your response. Its clear as mud buddy.
Q3 I am very clear about.
Q4 is a problem - Should I answer Yes/No.
If I answer "Yes", I can give specific dates. No need to explain
If I answer "No" I beleive I would have to explain the obvious truth as to why we are not living together. (Secretly we do want to live together...:))

Answer yes, if you feel you need to provide more information, attach a letter of explanation.

Hello, I am filling IMM 5406 online. I have entered Names in English. For the native language should enter it next to the name in (...) or should I add new family member and enter information in native language. Please let me know how to submit name in Native language. Thanks.

I applied online September 12th and still haven't heard anything, contrary to to what would make sense it seems like the online apps are taking longer than the paper.. it just says "submitted" under the status in the online portal. Hoping that will change soon, looking on previous months on the google sheet tracker it seemed like it might be an extra month but who knows.
I believe IRCC is treating all applications (online or paper) based on when they were delivered. So far, my impression of online applications is that it helps you with: Making sure all your documents are there; that your application doesn't get lost in the mail or courier; and some peace of mind in that respect.

You are right that on applications taking longer, but that's for all applications. Here's the latest info from the spreadsheet. Note that they haven't touched a single Sept. application yet (paper or online). These are all the AORs that were sent from today back to Oct. 1st

From the tracker it looks like 35% of September applicants are online with the rest paper and a few unknown.
Hello, how did you complete IMM 5406 in Native language? I am applying online and not sure where to enter Native language. response will be appreciated.

Hi,

I’m really confused as to which one is faster for Canada outland spouse pr sponsorship, online or tradional paper method. Hence wanted inputs from someone who has already applied online and have received Aor.

Please let me know

Thanks
What did you decide? Online or paper?

Hello, I initially prepared for a paper application so I have all my documents populated in a PDF. I came across online portal option. Is the MM 1344 and IMM 5532 different or the same?

If you filter all of the September applications by paper in the tracker, all but just a few have received their AOR1 and a couple of people have even received SA indicating that their applications have at least been seen and touched. Even some of the October paper applications have received AOR1 and SA.
...
Either way, to me it seems like paper is the way to go but time will tell.
Don't know which of these sets of duelling facts is correct, but: it's a pilot programme. Pilot programme means beta at best - problems are part of the package.

I'm honestly surprised how many applicants are choosing online.

Which brings me back to this comment:

Yep, physically sending off the documents is both a hassle and not cheap (and DHL still doesn't handle Nova Scotia directly). I probably would have chosen it too (even if a pilot). Advantages to the applicant are actually pretty significant.

Anyway, it's pretty clear IRCC will probably switch most family/spousal sponsorships to online as soon as they think the system's ready. (I'd guess they'll keep the paper app option for a while though)

Hi: My wife will be signing these forms on a different day, and will scan them back to me, for me to sign.
Is it ok if dates are different. For example- there could be a 1 or 2 day delay
I am not sure will it be big of a deal but I added date when we are planned to sign and due to time zone difference it will be same day when we signed only the time differs.

Mostly same, I don't see any different but you can always download and doublecheck.
