outland possibility

hi there

long story short ... can you do outland when you are out of status ....im pregnant

i was thinking we could still do inland without status but realized that has changed ....or i dont know if ppl are still applying that way ...please any advice thank you .

Actually, it looks like CIC is now cracking down on this. Someone was recently told by CIC, after they applied, that they needed to leave and re-enter Canada (to gain legal status).

That is the only time that someone has reported this issue. Many others have applied outland without status and had no issues. It is quite possible that it was simply this one particular officer and case where this happened.

Don't stress about this right now.
