Outland - London, Can i visit wife in Canada??? Please help

Hello everyone, i hope someone can offer me some advice, a brief summary here;

My wife and I were married in Nov 2007 (civil ceremony)after a whirlwind romance a few months before, i returned to the UK and we decided i would come over for a year on a Working holiday visa to decide if we would stay in Canada or the UK, i arrived in Canada in March 2008, in the meantime we had been to Cancun on holiday together and arranged our 'Indian' wedding to take place in Vancouver, June 2008.

In the year from March 2008 we decided Canada was were we wanted to stay, we found and bought a house and got married(religous ceremony), stressfull but worth it, Anyway..............

We have applied through the London Visa office, Starting processing April 22 2009, 'Medical Results received'
June 20th - Additional Documents requested, regarding Joint assets, financial stuff.
July 8th - Documents sent, Now we are waiting, hopefully for PPR.

As my working holiday came to an end, we both came to the UK in March to live with me and my parents, my wife returned July 3rd as she had to go back to work, and i remained here to wait it out...........

I want to visit her in August as its my birthday, will that be OK and what info should i take with me so i wont get denied entry?????

You can visit your wife when you are doing outland. The border guards should be able to see that you have applied for PR but you can bring those documents. Bring a return ticket too. If you have a job right now, bring a letter from your employer saying you will return. You can also remind the border guards that you have to return to London anyway if you are called for an interview because of your application.

Would i need to take documents regarding the PR application, like receipts or letters???

Also how long can it take to make a decision once documents are sent back???? I sent mine July 8th 2009.

For outland application, they will first need 4-6 weeks to approve sponsor, then the file goes to London and takes a few months there.

Thanks, the file was forwarded to London April 22nd and i was asked for additional documents on June 20th which i submitted July 8th.

My question is how long could the wait be after submitting additional documents???

Anyone experincing similar situation????
