Daughter residing in Canada is a bit of a red flag, as they may think your wife is marrying you just so they can reunite.

What were the circumstances behind how you guys met? Did the daughter introduce you to her?
Yes, VO was asking many questions about her daughter. We were introduced by our common friend at lake gathering. Anyway, again, can anyone elaborate on how likely her TRV can be revoked by the embassy?

I dont think it can be revoked unless she provided false info to get it. Since the VO kept asking abt the daughter, its fair to say that this is the main reason for the interview and refusal, you'll need to demonstrate that she's not marrying you just to reunite w her daughter during the appeal

In my personal opinion, there would be no reason for cancellation of the TRV unless your wife either committed misrepresentation or they may be worried she may be at risk to remain in Canada illegally during a future visit.

Anyway, again, can anyone elaborate on how likely her TRV can be revoked by the embassy?

Why would this reason possibly be a red flag?
In this case, it wouldn't be. However, in some cultures, it is very unusual and against cultural norms for a person who has never married to marry a divorced person.

As mentioned, it depends on the country. Some countries its a non issue, other countries, its considered unusual for a divorcee to marry someone never married.

There's literally nothing you can do other than to wait for the refusal letter to arrive and appeal

Oh, I see. The reason I asked was because I have been divorced for 24 years and would marry my fiancée who is never married sometime this year, and then sponsor her to Canada. We are both of European background. Thank you for your clarification.

Hi, my wife was selected for an interview in her native country, Ukraine. As per advice of our "lawyer" , she had nothing to worry about, it's a simple formality. She went there and met with a very rude officer at Canadian embassy in Kiev. The officer expressed her belief that our relationship is nothing more than marriage of convenience. It was apparent from the very beginning that officer has made up her mind BEFORE the interview even started. At the end of the interview , the officer threatened to ban my wife from visiting Canada for 5 years. She took her passport and without any explanation left the interview room. To say that we're shocked and literally live in the state of despair is to say nothing. Our relationship is genuine , we love each other very much! I don't know what the hell to really think right now..She has multi entry visa to Canada. Im ready to fight refusal to the end. What are the chances that they not only refuse our application , but also annule her tourist visa and ban her from visiting Canada for 5 years? Pls help
What happened in your case?
