Thank you for your response. I'm US citizen and my husband is Canadian citizen. We were thinking for applying outland Canadian pr while waiting for his usa green card. but we were not sure if he has to physically live in Canada during the outland application. and what are the possible ways to prove that we will live in Canada if PR is approved. Any suggestions?
there are residency requirements for maintaining pr status. a senior member will be able to tell you what that is, i am still not 100%.
usually people submit letters from family members who are willing to help out upon returning to canada. It seems CIC wants a clear plan of what your intentions are when you return (ie: stay with family, rent/purchase a place in a certain community, look for jobs in x industry in x area, take x classes for professional certification, etc.) Basically you are looking to convince them you have a solid
plan for relocation, want to be a contributing members of society, and do not intend to draw on welfare upon your return.
