Do you think i should be worried as my webform reply of april 24th &today also say verifying eligibility And security has not be initialted, criminality is valid, bg verification in process. My Aor is 2nd jan 2020, FSW-O

Verifying eligibility could mean eligibility is recommended pass by case analyst and requires senior officer to pass it. It could also mean eligibility is in review required and you have to take proactive steps.

Hello everyone,
I tried to reach IRCC using the number 18882422100 through Textnow app a few times, i can get until the last part - "press 0 to speak to agent". After pressing "0" - I am told they cannot connect to agent because of high call volumes / COVID situation and the call gets terminated. Seems like there are people who were able to get to an agent recently. I am not sure if i am doing anything wrong, can anyone help me with this?. Thanks in advance

This generally happens during peak hours. I would suggest that you try them calling exactly around 8 am or whenever they open.

I think you should order your note since it's inexpensive to do so (just around $15 if you use 3rd party service or about $5 if you have anyone in Canada to place the request on your behalf). The processing time for the request might vary case by case though. In my case, I placed my first request for GCMS note on April 20th and now still haven't received it yet.

Thanks for the information, it helped . I tried calling them at 8 AM EST, seems like they accept calls from 9AM - 5PM. Was able to reach an agent pretty easily right after 9AM without much waiting.

Hi, what does background/security check being currently valid mean? Does it also mean you've passed both those checks?

Yes. You should. My aor is february 6 and i have gcms notes. I know the true status of my application.
