I am an American and my Canadian common-law partner is sponsoring me. We have a question about the sponsored spouse/partner questionnaire.

We read on this forum that we should do an outland application and act as if my current residence is in USA but I am living in Canada now on a work permit which expires at the end of this month (the same time we plan on submitting our application). I plan to return to Canada as a visitor when the application is in process until it is approved.

The questionnaire asks "Are you currently living with your sponsor?" Should I put yes or no?
Other forms asks for my residence and I do not know whether to put my American address or my current/future address here in Canada.

Thanks in advance :)

You can just use your Canadian address. It's perfectly fine to apply outland while residing in Canada.

outland doesn't necessarily mean you are living outside of canada, it refers to where the application is processed. Since you're a us citizen, when you choose outland, it will get processed in ottawa which is much faster than the inland processing office.
