Outland application. During the processing time, can he come back to visit me?

HI,

I have a question. We have mailed our application last week. My husband wants to come back to visit me for two or three weeks during the break. We heard that he could not leave Canada during the whole time until I get there. Does anyone have any idea or the same experience that can share with me. Thank you.

Hey,

it depends ! He can come and visit you, but the length of visit will vary.... if he is a PR of Canada, he has to reside in Canada for the whole process. HE can come for a short visit (2 weeks, maybe 3, but probably not more). If he is a Canadian citizen, he can come and stay with you as much as he wants. In both cases, keep all the proofs, because if you are asked in stage 2 for more proofs about your relationship, it could be useful to prove that he came to visit you.
