Hi, I am in the middle of filling out an outland application for sponsoring my spouse. I downloaded the "Applications from outside Canada" application from the cic website, and am confused because in IM 1344A under "eligibility assessmet" it asks "are you sponsoring a member of the family class or a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class?" If i tick "no" it says im not eligible to be a sponsor, however it is a outland application!?! Am I not understanding what is meant by "in canada class"? or is there another application for outland?

I hope someone can clear this up for me!
Thank you!

The question asks "are you sponsoring a member of the family class OR a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class"? You are sponsoring a member of the family class, so you tick 'Yes'.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I'm confused by something as well.

In section C, question 6 asks for my husband's residential address. Then it asks "if the above address is not in the country of nationality of the person you are sponsoring, has that person been lawfully admitted for a period of at least one year in the country where he or she is living?"

My husband's residential address is in Everett, Washington and he is a US citizen. So his residential address is in the country of his nationality. Do we simply skip this part and go to question 7? Or do I need to write N/A?
