Hi Guys,

For an outland application is it okay if the applicant travels while the application is in process. This would be before the applicant is requested to submit the passport. If the applicant does travel does CIC need to be notified?

For India's country specific guidelines there is one form where we have to fill out all the travels to date. Would this form need to be then modified and resubmitted if the person ends up travelling?

Or is it preferred that the applicant not travel while the application is in process?

Hi

With an outland application, the applicant can go wherever they want. There is no need to update CIC with their travels.

with India, it takes almost a year to process. No need to inform New Delhi visa office every time you travel in and out of country. There is no rule that you cannot travel while the application is in process. Problem comes when they ask for your passport early in the process and you have to travel out of the country. You can ask for your passport back if it is an emergency and resubmit it when they ask for it again.
