I've been in Canada for over 9 years now, sent away immigration papers in my first year and was told My application was a day late (There was a Holiday in within the postal timeline)I have a son of 7 years of age. Canadian born My wife we've been together since day one. I was flying back to the UK every 6 mths Initially onmy last visit they immigration was refusing me reentry, my wife argued and they gave us 90 days of course i stayed and we are constantly worried about the immigration. I've not worked been the home keeper raising my son and my son from my sweethearts first marriage.

We are in love have been in love but afraid we would lose each other if i applied again. My passport has expired from my home country i've never broken any laws what can we do..We have also taken two children from the streets and helped them to become good Canadians and have another Child that we "rescued' from a bad situation she is graduating now along with my eldest boy i'm 54 now my wife 38 its time to stop worrying do we have a chance..?

You should join the Family Class Sponsorship section of this forum.

I'm not sure why your wife didn't apply to sponsor you years ago. Unless there's something you're leaving out of your story - there's nothing stopping her from doing so.

You need to renew your passport to apply. That needs to be your first step.

Well its simple, I stated we were worried and just kept under the radar so to speak. Its always been a worry of age and not creating attention. also when we first met we had nothing not a penny to spare and she worked in a call centre but we struggled and just kept going. Simply trying to get by without attracting attention to our situation. Time gets the better of you when you live as we do new laws sponsorships having to have x amount of dollars in the bank right now i' have a 7 year old and an 18 year old graduating. I am a skilled worker second language is french albeit rusty. Simply put there is no explaining the hiding excpet fear of loss in our relationship. I think you go into blind mode after so many years

She should definitely sponsor you. I assume it's been difficult for you since you can't work legally and don't have access to provincial health care. So try to get the application processed kicked off as soon as you can (again - start by renewing your passport).

I'd recommend you read the first post in the Family section of this forum for some general information:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/spousal-sponsorship-t46995.0.html

If you have any further questions - ask them in the Family Class section (you'll get more and better responses there).

Good luck.
