Hi Everyone here,

need some advice with regards to my situation.
Im out of status since april 14 but waiting for my provincial nomination.
Is it right to apply for student permit just to get a valid status while waiting.
will there be a complication by the time that ill be getting my new work permit?

Yes I had my medical done no problem at all. I was wondering the same about the address. I have submitted my papers and put my Canadian address God forbid I lied I would assume that is worse. Who knows. How long have you been out of status and are you doing inland or outland

There's no real proof that CIC has changed the requirements for an Inland applicant to now have legal status. The only thing that's changed, is the language in the instruction guide, but the Inland Processing Manual (IP8), which is used by the officers when they are processing the applications has NOT been updated. Inland applicants, without status, are still being approved.

Hello,

I was out of status for 6 years when I applied for PR in May 2010.. My application was approved under H&C(inland sponsorship) and I became a PR on September 1, 2011.. I applied to be a Canadian Citizen this January and a decision was made this month. The period of not having a status were very trying times but I overcame by Gods grace.. If you are out there and going through this ordeal, please continue to stay strong and everything will fall into place.

Glad to read all the comments in this thread.
Knowing I am not the only one who made mistake for being in a limbo.
I am currently out of status while waiting for our Inland Spousal Sponsorship.
We submitted our application days before my restoration expires,because of having no legal
status CIC didnt grant my OWP. being out of work is really frustrating,
but we're hoping that one of these days we could get some good news from CIC.

after successfully restoring my status , I recieved my OWP today valid for 2 years. Feels good.

Hang on and be strong on this challenging time. I hold on strongly unto my faith and surely that what keeps me going each day. as what they say " there's always light at the end of the tunnel".
