out of canada sponsorship while living in canada

I am currently on an IEC work visa and am about to start my application for spousal sponsorship.

Is its possible to file under the "outside Canada" application, while temporarily residing in canada?

As far as I know, yes -- if you are the person being sponsored, and your Canadian spouse is qualified.

My husband is here on a student visa, and I am sponsoring him outland even though he is technically in the country =)

Thanks for the advice, i assume that if i was called up for an interview at some point along the process i would have to jump on a plane and head back to the uk?
