Hi all,

Did anyone of you submit an Out of Canada bank statement as proof of funds for EE or OINP????

Right now, I cannot transfer my money from my country to Canada due to war but might be able in the future; however, I need to submit my application package for OINP on January 2016.

Any thoughts plz

You can, and in most cases, would submit out of canada bank account's statement as POF. Go to your bank and get a stamped statement from them which showcases your bank balance converted to Canadian Dollars. Also attach 6 months bank statement (again, stamped will be better).

I had shown my US, India, and my wife's India account as proof of funds. I had also shown my liquid funds, mutual funds, equity holding, and anything which can be quickly converted to cash (not property). Hope this helps.

No problem! Will appreciate a +1 ;)

Where does it say it needs to be a Canadian account? Do you understand that the EE system is for people who live outside Canada too?
