Hi: Can anyone guide me that how long one can stay out of Canada after filing sponsorship case as permenent Residence.
 
Oi Mamooooooooo..................you can stay 2 years out of 5 years period as a PR, seniors can confirm if this is incorrect
 
No ur are not getting to my question as I wanted to know as I am sponsoring my spouse and dependent children and as sponsor how long I can stay out of Canada as it is the requirment of CIC that the sponsor should stay at Canada till the decesion of his sponsorship case.Thanx.

1. If you are a Canadian citizen, you don't have to remain in Canada during the processing of a spousal application.
2. If you are a PR, then you must remain in Canada during the processing until the visa is issued.
