From my own experience:xjaex250 said:Hi my wife just got an email February 3 2014 from Visa office saying she had and interview on March 3. 2014
my question is that her meds expired and her criminal record, should she redo her medical and her criminal now to save time? Or should she wait for the visa office to ask her to redo it? Also I was wondering after interview do they tell you on the spot that you are approved or do they sometimes? Any tips ? For prep ext..my dad's in Vietnam right now waiting for my wife's interview to finish ext. how long do you think my wife's process time after interview will be until she can come to canada?
Here's a look at my timeline if anyone's is similar ....
Dec 24 2011 Sponsor Approved Missasuaga
Nov 16 2012 First interview letter they mailed it to my wife's house in Vinh Long.
Feb 3 2014 Second interview letter they did no mail it, they emailed it.

"Just to let you no that my ecas was only changed from......... "Approved" to "Medical Received" and also has still not changed from 2011 until 2014 so it's the waiting game for about a year until you get for first interview letter then the pace will start picking up, so do be discouraged I been there do that so I feel ya
Thanks in advance From Victoria Bc.......
-Wait until they ask for any documents (In my second interview letter they did ask to check the following documents: Police version 2) Medical will only be asked if you pass the interview
- In my case, they did tell that interview "is passed" on the spot and that next step is re-medical
- In my case, Once interview done, be prepared to wait 8 weeks (2 months including re-medical + passport request ) before she gets the VISA in her passport
Hope this info will help you prepare mentally
