This is the size of our application package for outland common law sponsorship from Philippines to Canada. It is about 4 inches thick and maybe 500 pages or more. We used clear A4 size plastic envelopes.

Has anyone else sent this much or more? We heard that for common law more is better.

We have all our common law proof like joint lease contracts, rent receipts, lots of receipts for joint household purchases, lots of joint address shipping labels, evidence of our shared money management system (confirmations of money sent, received etc), joint bank account, shared credit cards, last will, life insurance, accident insurance, about 100 pages of chat from 2013 to 2015, facebook time line postings from 2013 to 2016, western union receipts of money sent before meeting, video screenshots, many photos (maybe 200), some printed on premium glossy kodak paper and others on plain bond paper, organized in order of date, support letters, and other assorted documents.

We have age difference red flag so we trying our best to prove it isn't an issue

you have a wide variety of proof which is excellent, however i'd still recommend going over it one last time and excluding any redundant evidence.

e.g. more than 1 picture from the same outing

You could also put groups of information together and scan it into one page. Might help cut down on weight and being hated by Vic lol

How do you mean? like a table of contents? We organized everything with cover sheets stating contents of each envelope.
Is the amount we are sending really very uncommon?

We pasted screenshots several to a word document page. Then it is easier to read. There are people that send large applications so it is what you are comfortable with. They will rearrange your documents so don't bother with a table of contents. Just arrange it in three bundles each inside an envelope and then together in a box of it is that big.

Mine was similar to yours, but we are a married couple. I had 4 envelopes containing sponsor's and PA's documents. Third with proof of relationship and last one the pics. We've had proof since 2011 but mostly after 2013. I tried to minimize the weight as much as I could but at the end our application was 10lbs. I guess, it was worth it because we got the visa in couple of months. I would say don't worry about the weight. See, what feels right for you to include in your application and go with that. You just don't want to question yourself afterwards and wish you had included or removed something. Good luck, I hope it goes well for you :)

It's uncommon, but that's a good thing. It's always better to submit more than less, despite the need to focus on quality over quantity. It's not like your application will be slowed due to your large volume of papers. If anything, they'll just discard any excess stuff.

What you're doing is very good, and more people need to follow this example.

It's fine. One of the applicants going through the Accra visa office had more than 800 pages in the application. They were processed much more quickly than the average for that office, and were approved.

The visa officer might complain about too much paper, but the fact remains, sending in too much is not going to cause the application to be rejected. Sending in too little can cause a rejection, or at least a request for more proof, which delays processing.

Thanks! I think ours may be close to 10 pounds too but it all feels right and its all organized. And wow, less than 3 months for you! That is the fastest I ever heard. Yours must have been one of those very "straightforward" cases. Congrats!

Good to hear that! I did have thinking it could slow down processing. Thanks for the positive words

We were thinking same, that better to send more than less and that more might be less chance of needing more proof. For our photos, chat and FB we did it in order of time and about one page for every week from 2013 to now.

It's good that you have such a solid app to address your red flags.

However, I will say that 100 pages of chats is serious overkill, especially for a common-law couple. I suggest you cut that waaaaay down. Select just a few messages from each month and group as many as you can on a page. Include a letter with those pages stating you can provide X pages of additional chats if they need it.
