Ottawa VO background check

Looking for any info I can possibly find on this part of the process

Am sorry but a 6 week wait is nothing to a couple waiting 7 months to be told marriage not genuine. Plus another 2 yrs to wait for a court date. Then when you take a mere 2 hours to win & have your file go back in the queue to wait yet again for them to ask you for another medical and another police check. Then wait for a bgc and PPR. Please be a little more patient. Perhaps it's started with out the visa officer inputting info.
I hope it happens any day for you. And for us I hope it happened in 2015. Already : (

I don't understand! what is the status have to show from the background check on mycic? my line is: Background check: your application is in progress . We will send you a message when we star your background. the background ground check haven't been started?

I think when they start your background check it will say "your background check is in progress" mine is taking long compared to some people who are at the Ottawa VO

If it started would be agents at the VO know? We call and don't really get any info

If they don't have time to answer email. I would hope because they have no time as they actually working on apps. At.first.I thought we were lucky to have it sent there. Not Mississauga or Morocco. Now me too Idk. This is the pits.

When did you apply?

In my wifes case we got AOR2 on June 2. Then they sent us an e-mail asking for more proof that sponsor intends to return to Canada which was around June 15th. I checked my CIC on June 27th and the background check line now states this:

We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Which seems different from others so I believe that they are processing our background check now.

I hope that they are also quick processing all of your applications as well.

See my background check line has still not changed. It's bothering me. Everyone else's is changing and mine is staying the same.

When did you apply?

Originally applied Oct 2014, refused May 2015. Appealed June 2015. Won appeal May 9 2017. App received June 5 2017 in Ottawa.
