Jeff unless you have major redflags in your app, you shouldn't be so worried

Don't forget the speed they process your app not only depends on your case but also on the time they spend on others

Your application was received 3.5 months ago so don't be so stressed at least until, for a US applicant, they reach the 6 months mark

With thr useless and incorrect info the call centre is known to give, the more you call, the more you risk getting incorrect info which will make you even more worried

Huh! The agents are known to be giving away wrong information all the time, well most, if not all!! The one whom you had a conversation with should be fired for telling you something like that!! Imagine the stress it caused you.

Enough stress to go to our MP to get things straight. I could've strangled the person when I found out the info was wrong lol.

Lol, the IRCC call centre is notorious for providing completely wrong information. Call three times and get three answers. They are poorly trained and really not familiar with anything beyond the absolute basics of anything to do with immigration.


Are the mp offices more knowledgeable/trustworthy than the CIC agents?

The MP office staff are able to contact IRCC staff beyond the call centre, the ones who can look at complete files and know what they are talking about.

You would think they would take time to train people to reliably give correct information. That is kind of pathetic if you ask me
