Is anyone else having issues with them not updating what they are doing? This is all I have:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 4, 2016.
2. We started processing your application on January 10, 2017

But here's the thing. I know they received my medical and are working on it, so I don't understand why NOTHING is getting updated. January 10th to now is an extremely long time not to update anything. Is it just me this is happening to?

Hm, that's tricky. I'm not sure why they haven't posted it. We sent the medical upfront because we started the process before dec 15th changes. So when I linked on CIC after the AOR, it had updated that they had the medical information. So we have the three lines. People seem to say their accounts have been stalled with no updates for awhile. It seems like it still is a common issue.

I'm the sponsor. Outland spousal. I'm in a facebook group with other people from Australia applying for PR for Can. And there has been messaging and screenshots of their gckey screen and mention of it staying the same for awhile.

My application processing started in March...
.almost 2 months now and still doesn't show any updates. Still shows the same thing as yours.

There is no way to tell what's going on unless and until you apply for GCMS notes. Now, For me it has been over a year and all this time I was under the impression that my Visa Office is Abu Dhabi but it turns out my application is in Ottawa. I'm not mad about that but I sure wish I had known that before, I mean it doesn't change anything on my part but still would've been cool. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is don't depend on the timeline given to you (ie 6 months) just hope for the best and keep in touch with them once in a while. Especially if your spouse is the one sponsoring you. The back check in such cases is extensive (They want to make sure it's not marriage for the purpose of entry into Canada). Good luck.
