Those applicants submitted their paperwork prior to march when they started fast tracking application so this still has yet to be proved for applicants from march- now. At this point the applicants who are not from the us have submitted applications in June and July so there's no knowing what the trend will be for non-us applications. There are still us applicants from before march still waiting. There seems to be a different protocol based on when the app was submitted.
Yes certainly true. But of all the applications on the super fast timeline, they have all been for Americans. People of other nationalities who submitted an application to CPP-Ottawa during the same timeframe (and there are a few) are not seeing these speeds. Now maybe it is a temporary thing but hopefully it is not and I tend to believe the latter. One reason is that info sharing between Canada and the US got a lot easier (getting entry/exit data, criminal checks, etc). Unless they start dumping a whole bunch of new cases on to Ottawa (like they started doing with some cases from Islamabad) and overwhelm their workload, I suspect (hope) quicker timelines will be the norm.
