Hi anyone from Ottawa office still waiting for Oath Invite who passed test in Feb this year? We did our test in Feb and still waiting. It seems no one is working at Ottawa office at all. By the way I was going through IRCC monthly updates on citizenship grants and was wondering how they are going to catch up.

250,092 applications were processed in 2019 whereas only 62,696 applications were processed in 2020 up till June 2020. Here is the breakdown for 2020:

2020 / 012020 / 022020 / 032020 / 042020 / 052020 / 062020 Total
24,80626,7309,4465531,65662,696

There is no data for Jul till Dec 2020 onwards. Reference: https://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/9b34e712-513f-44e9-babf-9df4f7256550

Hey Thanks for the link share. This gives a big picture on the citizenship covering outside the forum as well. More data points are covered here .
Really appreciate that

Would be good to know if Ottawa is printing the citizenship certificates and despatching soon. There are few Ottawa applicants on this forum waiting for citizenship certificate since 2 months after their oath ceremony happened in early October this year.

Another Ottawa applicant here ( bluffmaster88) with oath mid Oct received his/her certificate on Nov 4.

Based on new update it seems instead of gaining some pace they have reduced the number of oaths in Oct 2020. No data is available yet for Nov and Dec 2020. I think its better to renew PR cards for those whose PR cards are about to expire as there is no way of knowing whether it will take another month or year before we get oath invite.

Hi,
How can you tell your UP was accepted. I also requested UP and contacted IRCC last week and the agent said there's no notes regarding UP request. I sent my app. Dec. 2nd, Received Dec. 7, AoR Dec. 9th, In Process Dec. 18th. Since then nothing.

See the way your application is moving I will say your UP was accepted because there is no way you will 2 days between delivery date and AOR then 9 days later you are IP.

Hi,

I'm guessing Sydney Office accepted my request, but local office did not. I am seeing no movement from Ottawa since 2 months now.

They still need to go through securities and other checks that will take sometimes even for urgent processing, you should just relaxe you will be ok.
Good luck!

I see things are making progress on your file
Too early to receive updates asap even for urgent request as background checks and security checks will take time.

Don't compare with other applications for urgent processing , it depends and will not be same .
Atleast you need to wait till March mid or end to get some updates

Hi,

Thanks for your input. I understand, but the thing is that I've already accepted the job and started training. I need to have my Citizenship within 90 days of employment when my probation is over otherwise I risk losing the job.
