Any new oath ceremonies in November from Ottawa office ?

I think the new trucker is struggling. Checking it today morning I had an update. Oath scheduled for tomorrow October 15. I called IRCC and they said I am not yet scheduled for Oath. It was difficult emotionally after a long wait of 9 months since all field has been completed. Did Anyone have a similar issue with the new trucker? Otherwise let’s keep positive atmosphere. It will be completed one day anyways !!!

Yes. I also got this confusing update on my tracker. No email received.

I have same experience. It is probably a system glitch.

Guys, I am a Aug 2022 aor candidate and got bg completed 2 weeks back. I reside in Ottawa so i am guessing I'll get test invite from Ottawa office. Is that right? Normally, how many weeks/months after bg check can i expect test invite? Thanks!

Fast processing! Paper or online? Ottawa is normally the slowest office ever, so I think you are being processed by Niagara Falls or another office. You will find out when the test invite email arrives. Test invite normally comes within a few days of BG check completed, although it can take a few weeks, or rarely a few months.

Decision Made and everything else complete since April 7. Citizenship Ceremony has been "Not started" mostly since then. Now it says "In Progress"

I just checked yesterday and it has the following updates:

Oct 12, 2022: Citizenship oath status has been updated to In progress.
Oct 15, 2022: Congratulations! You've been scheduled to attend your citizenship ceremony on October 15, 2022.

So, at least I am now in progress? Two steps ahead, one step back...

Can we apply new Canadian passport abroad after getting the citizenship certificate after oath ceremony or we have to get first passport from within Canada. Is there any restriction? After oath ceremony one will cut PR card and receives citizenship certificate and then one can apply later on from abroad the first Canadian passport. Is that possible or there is any restriction on getting passport from abroad?

When did you receive your AOR? My application is similar like yours, Aug 23 BG completed. Still no sign of Test. Ottawa is the slowest processing office.

You can apply from anywhere, it's more expensive from outside of Canada ($260 instead of $160), and there may be slightly different requirements

After many months of waiting, there was finally some movement on my application. All the sections (except oath ceremony) were marked as complete on Oct 20.

Now waiting to take the oath.
