It was on Feb 8.
so for me it took almost 2 months to get the oath invite after everything else was completed.

did anyone take the test outside of canada and then have an online interview? they mentioned that to me....I am sure they want to confirm when I intend to return. Answer would be simple lol - once you have given me citizenship since beginning this in Dec 2020

Whilst I agree that getting confirmation you are a citizen and then the ability to obtain a passport should be separated out from the actual oath ceremony, to classify the ceremony as a "huge waste of time" clearly you have missed it's importance from a tradition, historic and respect point of view to the country you are now becoming a citizen of.

No. It's pointless.
"Tradition" is meaningless.
It isn't "historic".
Causing unnecessary delay is not "respect".

Does anyone here feel respected by this de-humanizing farce? Both the citizenship test and the oath are completely pointless and should be scrapped. Being forced to pledge allegiance to a monarch is a humiliation. Monarchies, even ceremonial ones, are an affront to democracy.
