bawling! got my oath invite!Your patience is commendable! There are people on this forum who applied this year, have been receiving quick and regular updates but are still losing their minds that the process from application to oath ceremony took 6 months!!! And I'm like, dude some of us have been waiting more than that between EACH update!
Good luck to you and everyone waiting - hope our oath invites come sooner rather than later.
good golly - looks like there is going to be a huge lot of us at that ceremony!!My tracker just got updated as well for August 23rd. My application was completed in January.

Looks like Ottawa's "normal" is much slower than everyone else's. Most applications processed by Ottawa seem to go super super slowly. Many of us like myself got sent to Niagara Falls or other offices, but now I wonder if my file got sent back to Ottawa to rot away for oath scheduling, as it's not normal in any except the slowest offices to be waiting nearly 2 months after DM with no signs of oath.Yes, we received our test invite from the Ottawa office.
I can imagine how frustrating that must be - to be stuck for months at the last leg of the process! You are right about Ottawa office though. They are the slowest in Canada. The thread has some horror stories involving an officer with the initials JT who forced people to wait for months just to get their citizenship certificates. This is the reason why I moved to GTA from Ottawa, as I wanted to move my application away from Ottawa office. However, I don't think they will be doing back and forth with the files between offices as they are queued for processing unless there is a specific request or circumstance.Looks like Ottawa's "normal" is much slower than everyone else's. I can only imagine how frustrating this would be for you, especially when more recent applicants seem to have completed all the steps.I wish there was a system check on this process. I had my test done on 7th Feb, my tracker is showing the last update on 26th July, still physical presence and prohibitions are in process. I applied in Nov 2019 with 2 kids.
Is it virtual or in-person ?I just got the oath email. Scheduled for Aug 23rd
