After waiting for ages, my ceremony was yesterday, January 12, 2022. I got the oath invitation on January 5, 2022 in the tracker.
There were 46 applicants. I requested for urgent process with my flight ticket. However, many other people seemed to ask for the urgent process too. They explain very well how you request urgent thru email.
Hopefully, everybody gets ceremony soon soon.
Here is my full timeline, if somebody needs:
Nov 14, 2019: App Sent
Nov 17, 2019: App Received
Feb 11, 2020: AOR
Feb 26, 2020: Process
March 09, 2020: FP request by email, send next two days
April 15, 2021: Test invitation
April 25, 2021: Test Taken
Nov 3, 2021: Background Verification changed to "In progress" from "Completed"
Nov 3, 2021: Background verification activity status updated Background verification Background verification status has been updated to In progress
Nov 9, 2021: Fingerprints required Background verification We sent you a letter or email with instructions to submit your fingerprints.
Nov 14, 2021: Fingerprint results: Received We received your fingerprint information on November 14, 2021 and will review them shortly. Thank you!
Dec 1, 2021 Fingerprint results: Received New update We received your fingerprint information on December 1, 2021 and will review them shortly. Thank you!
Dec 2, 2021 : Background verification status has been updated to Completed
Dec 3, 2021: Prohibitions & Physical presence went to completed.
Dec 6, 2021: I got the DM in the old tracker
Jan 4, 2022: Ceremony changed to In Progress
Jan 5, 2022: Email invitation received.
Jan 12, 2022: Ceremony.

Congratulations. What date are you travelling? I am travelling on summer, so I was wondering if I can do the same thing and send them a copy of the tickets. Should the travelling date be close or it is fine if the tickets are in July?
Thanks! I will travel in the early of February. I guess Ottawa office, especially JT officer ignores the urgent requests as well. I have seen in this forum that some people have missed the flights even asked for urgent. I think mine takes another 2 to 3 months to get the certificate.
Did you get JT officer? Cant you ask them to go pick the certificate up? I was planning to ask them that cause i have a trip that i cant miss either
Yes, in the ceremony invitation email subject "JT" is written. You don't have a chance to talk to a coordinator in private. At the end of the ceremony session, everyone can ask questions in the public room. However, many of the people, more than half, asked about urgent process. Even if you tell them I have a trip that I cannot miss it, they simply say write the reasons in the email. They ask you to reply to the ceremony invitation email with a signed form which they have received.
Finally received the certificate today after 77 days. Had oath on Oct 27, 2021
Nov 2019 applicant. Ottawa office. JT in subject line.
The certificate came by Puralator. It was sent from Ottawa yesterday (date on the Purolator label). Inside that there was another envelope with CanadaPost stamp on it. Which means they initially prepared it for CanadaPost and then decided to send by Purolator.
By the way, the tracker is still showing “In-Progress”.
Also, today I received a reply from office of the IRCC minister (reply to my email to the minister on Dec 6th, 2021) that my certificate was printed on Jan 11, 2022 (reason of delay is covid, etc etc).
During the last 2.5 months, I sent 5 follow up emails to Ottawa office with travel evidence. No reply. Submitted webform, reply was “please contact Ottawa office”. Sent email to the office of the IRCC minister in Dec. Sent an email to my local MP last week as well. I think the email to the minister did help as his office did a follow up with Ottawa office and sent me a personalized reply.
Happy to say that I am finally DONE with JT. Ottawa Office. And IRCC.
27 months start to finish. Journey ends here. All the best folks.

Oh no. I'm also in Ottawa. I'm worried we'll also get stuck in the process with JT too! Has anyone had someone other than JT? Or is he like the only officer processing citizenship applicaitons in Ottawa?

Sorry, I'm new to this discussion! JT also processes other parts of the application, or ONLY certificates? I'll pray that we get the other two, but expect to get JT so that I have a realistic expectation in case we end up with him! Although, we're no where close to getting certificates... we're still waiting for citizenship test invite as we only applied in Jan 2021. Probably at least another year until we have oath, or two years...
