I wish there was a way for us to submit feedback. This really is unacceptable. Emailing MP is useless, they just get the standard replies we get. It's like you're stuck on going on their pace and you have no way to change that

We can submit complaints on IRCC website or contact the PM or Immigration Minister online but i think it will fall on deaf ears.
My MP will likely write a letter next week to the immigration minister about the delays in processing at Ottawa IRCC.
There is also a Facebook group about 2019 and 2020 applicants who are waiting on either test or oath.

I attended my oath on October 27th. Ottawa office. Agent is JT (they asked to send email with subject JT).

Until today, no update in the tracker. still shows in Progress. It’s been 21 days now.

No citizenship certificate received yet.

Anyone from Ottawa processing office had oath in October? I am wondering if this Ottawa office problem, or the “damn” officer named JT who is the slowest officer in the slowest IRCC office.

I thought I’m done with IRCC the moment I got the oath date. But looks like the struggle is never ending.

I finished Oath on October 13, still waiting for certificate from Ottawa office.
I have different officer, she closed my file.
As far as I know, you won't receive certificate until file is closed.
You may need to contact IRCC.

Other offices are sending the certificates the next day. Ottawa is taking 5 weeks!

That's too bad. Someone should give Ottawa office a nudge. This thread is giving me jitters being April 2021 applicant (BG cleared on Aug 27 and nothing after that).

It took about a week from Oath to completed

I think a few people even went to the office location but all they got was "we know the delays are there and we are working to clear the backlogs". But no real progress has been seen.

Hi Guys,
I received an update on the tracker that I have scheduled to take the Oath on Nov 30, and a letter has been sent to me.
What should I expect next? and what does the timeline looks for anyone who had the Oath done. (is is still virtual or in an office)

it seems we had oath together. Was it at 1pm on Oct 27th?

The official said there is an option to pick up the certificate but you have to send us an email with your proof of urgency and you have to wait to be approved. I sent the email with the proof. Nothing yet.

Did you receive your certificate? How many days after oath? Did you pick it up?
