Original Passport Request

Hi! I do have concern though regarding my visa application.
Timeline:
Biometrics submitted: Sept 7
Biometrics Validity Letter received: Oct 12
Original Passport Request: Oct 12
Im quite confused since i received an email in my CIC portal for original passport request, if it means my visa is approved? Since what is written in the final decision that my application is still in progress. Does anyone here have experienced like this? Thank you!

It means that your application was initially approved and now they need your passport to finalice the process. Once your passport is stamped and returned to you, your application will change status to officially approved.

However, there is a small chance of your application being refused if they find something weird on your passport which is extremely rare based on what I've read.
