I never got the wrong first entry dates on my COPR fixed (it's a matter of one year, or less I think). The date I landed as PR is two years after those erroneous dates on the COPR and three years after the real first entry.
Is it necessary to get those dates corrected before I apply for citizenship? it will not affect the residency calendar in regard to eligibility as I have sufficient time as a PR to use all that to count to my days lived in Canada and I will not be using my time as a TR to count towards that, only in so far as in the calculator I am planning to put in the original, real date of first entry (which I hope I remember correctly!)
Is there any reason why, regarding the citizenship application, I would need to correct the COPR after all this time?
I remember someone mentioned OAS later on, but that seems to be related to the date of landing, not first entry yes? and at any rate, I'd like to get citizenship first so hopefully there's no need to fix those for that?
