Does any of our original doc that we are submitting with application require notarization ??

As per the guide and VO instructions, you only send originals of eg PCC and IELTS (no need to send notarized copy as well)

IELTS, PCC and experience certificate must be original

Where the guide states that applicants should provide original documents...only original must be sent, you do not need notarized copies as well.

I read from someone's post on this forum (shame I don't remember the page) where his IELTS and other original docs were returned with his stamped passport. I am however unsure if this is standard procedure...not there yet ;D

As per the instructions, all photocopy documents need to be notarized except for those which the originals are required.
People authorised to certify/notarize documents Outside Canada include:
 a judge
 a magistrate
 a notary public
 an officer of a court of justice
 a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the person is living

Except PCC, IELTS, transcripts and reference letters, I hope they accept other originals, because it coasts a lot of money to notarize everything. Sometimes it is cheaper to get originals, even on English or French.

If I have few originals of my birth and marriage certificate, which are on English, why would I notarize them and send copies? I didn't read anywhere that it is forbidden to send originals if you have one.

Dear Echoes,
I don't think anyone has mentioned that it is forbidden to send original copies! We have just given you information as per the instructions from CIC! If you choose to send originals of some documents which CIC clearly states to send notarized copies, so be it!
