Ordering GCMS from India

Hi - I am planning to apply GCMS notes from India and was able to search the info around it on the forum. I have a few questions before I move ahead, need your help guys: -

- I have a frd in Canada and will create consent letters by completing and uploading form 5744 but is it really my frd who has to complete the process online? Or can I do it sitting in India?

- My frd is a recent PR - is it necessary to upload his PR copy as supporting document?

- Should I be requesting notes under Privacy Act or Access to Information Act? The note below is from the online page, it is self explanatory but thought of validating with you guys...
Note: If you are submitting a request under the Privacy Act for information belonging to someone else, the individual to whom the information belongs must also be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or currently living in Canada.

You can apply from India. Your friend need not do it. However, you need to know some details of your friend

Name
Postal Address
Phone Number
E-mail (This is the email to which you will get GCMS notes, need not be your friends email ID but give an alternate email other than the one in your application)

2. you might need just any (PHTO ID woth canadain address proof on it ) of yours Friends. like Driving license etc...

3. applied under Access to right with $5 fees.

1) My friend stays in Canada on Work Permit, I have used his address. I think PR copy of your friend is not required.

Btw, forgot mentioned you also need to attach a consent letter to authorizing your friend to receive your information. I prepared sth like this. If you like the format you can use the same.
