Options to live in saskatoon

Hi. I will be moving to saskatoon from India with my wife and 5 months old kid in dec 2016.

Would like to know the good and safe places to stay near to market or malls. Should be near corporate hub too.

Pls suggest some areas which are good from family standpoint.

What kind of necessary steps? Clothes yes i will take care. Need comfortable and safe place to live for my family. I will have 5 months old baby with me.

Out medicals are expiring in 1st week of jan so dont have any option to delay our travel.

December, Jan and Feb are cruel in Saskatoon.. You need a car with winter tyres and block heater. Buy winter boots, wool/fur/rain proof gloves, wool/fur knee length socks, neckwarmers, balaclavas/parkas/wool-fur-fleece-hoods and stuff. Look at Northface brands.. lots of shopping to do.

Stay very close to the 8th Street East, especially around the TD Bank branch or Canadian Superstore.. if you are not having a car, then stay less than 50m (or even 50 feet) from a bus stop since it is tragic to walk and wait for more than 10min in these months.
