Options after CEC application rejection?

I see a lot of people have been rejected for trivial reasons recently. CIC won't reopen their applications so the applicants enter the EE pool again.

I'm currently on implied status, what happens if my application is rejected outright? Will my implied status still be in effect until I get a letter from BOWP?

If I re enter the EE pool, and get an ITA, will my current BOWP application apply to my new PR application?

I'm just curious what the trivial reasons for the rejections are. Do you have any examples? If one/some of them apply to my application, I'd like to be able to do something about it before getting rejected...

Implied status is related to a work permit application, not a PR application. They are separate processes. However, if your PR application is refused while your BOWP application is in process, the BOWP application may ultimately be refused. If the BOWP application is approved, your work permit will be good for 1 year, regardless of the outcome of the PR application.

Will my implied status still be in effect until I get a letter from BOWP?

Yes, until you get a response regarding your BOWP application.

If I re enter the EE pool, and get an ITA, will my current BOWP application apply to my new PR application?

When the BOWP application is in process, they will look to see that (a) you have a PR application in process, and (b) you have been "approved in principal" (received the written AOR letter, in the case of CEC).

But I think it is very unlikely that it will take so long to process a BOWP that you could have one PR application refused, reapply, and receive a new AOR before the CIC decides on the BOWP application. Applying for another BOWP requires a valid work permit, so if you are already on implied status, you would not be eligible to apply for another BOWP.

TBH I haven't seen one application rejected without a good reason:
- work experience older than 3 years (does not qualify)
- job duties not matching a job title
- salary significantly below job title / reported duties range
- work experience not long enough (working 60h weeks doesn't allow you to apply after 8 months)
- etc

salary significantly below job title shouldn't be a reason for rejecting a CEC application. I didn't see medium/median wages mentioned anywhere on the requirements. Have you seen it written anywhere?

Some people have been rejected because their degree parchment was not translated from latin, even though the corresponding diploma supplement was in English. Their applications were rejected outright. CIC never gave the option to upload a new translated document. They also would not reopen their applications.

YES they do reject applications for trivial reasons. I used a lawyer and had a great application. I just got rejected for my degree being in Latin (I think this is standard in Irish Unis). AND I got my degree certified through WES. It's unbelievable!

No bud, they clearly state any document not in English or French needs translating. Latin is not a language, its a disease.

Well I hardly think they make it clear! Especially since I had the degree certified through a recommended third party(WES). When they asked for a copy of my degree, I uploaded degree, WES cert and language cert. (because there was no other place for them to upload). In any case, I have to deal with this mistake. My post was to warn people that CIC do not request additional documentation or give you time to provide clarification, they simply reject your application. And I don't need to hear anybody's response about "it's not CIC's job to chase you for documents". I tried to be as thorough as I could but clearly myself and two lawyers missed this.
