I am a teacher in my home country and my spouse is an HR professional. We both got Canadian Immigration and planning to land Toronto in the coming year.

We heard alot about the need of acquiring Canadian Education for getting better jobs. On the other hand, those who are certified professionals (Certified Teacher and Certified HR professional in our cases) also have better chances of getting white collar jobs.

Any one who is experienced or have information of Canadian job market; please advice which one is a better option to go; Canadian Education or Certification in one's profession, considering that we can only go for one of them and not both.

Regards,
Omeee

Have you investigated what certifications / experience is required to teach in Canada? Each province has slightly different requirements - however what you must do to be allowed to teach is quite specific. Google "becoming a teacher in" + the province you will be living in to find out more regarding what certifications are required (each of the provincial web sites typically has a section for internationally trained teachers). Understanding what you must do to be allowed to teach in Canada may make it easier for you to decide your next steps.
