Hello!

I tried to search for this but didn't find anything. In my 2010 taxes, it says I'm Single, and obviously I'm not anymore. Would that affect anything? Do I need to have that changed? (I'm thinking no but I'm not 100% sure!)

Thank you :)

no it's normal that it show's single since you weren't married then, so don't worry about it.

Okay thank you! ;D

*Puts on her accountant's hat* While it does not necessarily affect the immigration process, you do want to keep current with CRA. Even though my husband and I were only engaged in 2009, after he advised them that he was married in 2010, in 2011 they requested copies of my tax returns for BOTH years, in order to be sure they hadn't overpaid him some allowance or other, and he files my income as part of his "world income".

*Takes off accountant's hat, goes back to watching I (Almost) Got Away With It*

I file taxes through an accountant that my family uses (And I've used him since I was 18) So I'll have to inform him of my marriage to make sure he puts everything into the right boxes correct? (For last year)

And how was the show? :P

Haha, yes. You should have a copy of your marriage certificate for your accountant, ours needed it.

Show was good, drug dealer/attempted murderer was duly caught and locked up, after almost getting away with it. Tsk. Chalk one (more) up for the good guys. ;D
