option c printout

So I need the option c printout is it possible for me to go to my local CRA office and get it from there on the same day?

I am off to send my spousal documents making sure everything is fine so my option c can be from the previous year meaning 2014 as we are in 2015 now at the beginning of year and havnt filed my taxes yet I can use the previous year's just makiing sure?

most likely no. it's something that must be requested and it's mailed to you. it doesn't take long to get. i've never heard of a local office printing one on the spot, i'd imagine they would just initiate the request. let us know if that is not the case if you try.

yes, it's fine to send your 2013 option c, especially since 2014 taxes aren't due yet. cic doesn't require the most recent, though it's important to sumbit the most current available. even if you filed taxes today for 2014, most likely the option c would not be available for 4-6 weeks. it is not available immediately after filing, it's only available after the CRA accepts and finalizes the return, which can take quite some time.

Usually takes two weeks to get in the mail..., from my experience and other's I've seen..
By all means let us all know if you Can get it at a local office - that would be a convenient option for many

Thank you for your response, actually got off the phone with them now had to call a few times since it gave busy and but got through and was able to request it however I wished it was possible to get it on the spot, I was going to go to my local CRA as I thought you can get it on the spot but THANK god I called them saved me a trip she said to give it 5-10 business days asked if they had express mail they don't but that would be useful if they can do it sometime it makes the process faster yah I am getting the 2013 option c I will guess I wait I am anxious to just mail the sponsorship application but gotta make sure nothing is missing

Yeah - the 'forced waiting time' is always the best chance to methodically go over absolutely everything... btw, you aren't mailing just the sponsors app, are you? Of course you need to mail both applications together to Mississauga

Unless you've completed your filing for 2014 by March 16, and it's logged as complete in the CRA's system (not likely) - otherwise 2013 is your most recent completed tax return

Yeah - the 'forced waiting time' is always the best chance to methodically go over absolutely everything... btw, you aren't mailing just the sponsors app, are you? Of course you need to mail both applications together to Mississauga

No I am mailing both together man so many papers to get done lol

As mentioned above, it will take 4-6 weeks before your 2014 Option C is available after you file, so unless you want to wait send your 2013 Option C. It will be fine.

One other tip for people requesting their 2013 Option C - I'd try to get to a live person, rather than rely on the the automated phone system. When my wife recently requested her Option C, she got one for 2014, which was blank because she hadn't filed yet. She called the next day and spoke with a real person and they were going to send the right one out the next day..she should have it any day now. So I'd skip the automated phone system, get through to an actual person, and make sure you are clear that you need a 2013 Option C.
