They requestrd an option C printout. My concern is I don't know if the paper I sent was the Option C printout or a notice of assessment. Would that delay my process? Aren't the two the same thing?

The option C has some more information on it. If it makes you feel any better, it doesn't actually say option C on it. When I ordered it and received it I was worried they sent the wrong thing. You do actually have to call and specifically request the option C, so if you didn't do this, then you probably didn't semd the right thing.

In case I didn't get the right paoer, does it help if I sent a T4 with it? Because I did that just in case

That's good to show at you have a job to be able to financially support your spouse. The Option C is needed to know if you are on welfare or not. I believe the only reason they accept for not submitting one is if you're living exclusively outside of Canada... I'm not sure if they will allow sponsor to be approved without the Option C. Hopefully other members can weigh in and let you know.

As I mentioned... I did however provide a T4 slip which shows the earning in the previous year. I don't know if this helps or not.

Is there a link you may know of that you can provide me in which shows what both a notice of assessment and option C would look like? I have tried to look in Google images but it didn't help. If I see the difference, i would be able to know for sure which one I had sent.

Thanks for your time

The option C isn't automatically mailed out to you unless you've called and requested it. So if you haven't done that then what you sent in wasn't the option C and you will need to call and get on. The T4 isn't enough to show that you haven't been on welfare at all the past tax year. If they are requesting it then you should call and get one. They can take a week or more to get to you.

I did call and request it. And they did send it to me. However there was no specification on it saying it is an option C which everyone already knows. I just don't remember if I asked for an option C or NOA. That is what is concerning me. However I did see a couple of pictures that i will link here anf let you know which one mine looks like and I'm hoping this will help

The one that I had sent looks like this...

Asduming the NOA looks like this... Which looks like something you get from H&R BLOCK

Does this help? Did I send the right thing?

The first picture is of the option C however if they are requesting for one to be sent in I would just do as they ask and send another one in.

Well they haven't really requested anything yet. They probably won't look at my file until April considering I had only sent it in on January 14. However i panicked because for some reason I thought the discussion between CRA and I was about a NOA and completely forgot.

Thank you so much for your time.
