Hey all,

Just going through my Document Checklist and I'm required to provide:

"An original "Option C Printout" of your and your co-signer's [N/A] last Notice of Assessment for the most recent taxation year."

I called Canada Revenue Agency and request this. But I have not filed my 2009 taxes! They are sending my 2008 printout. Should I complete my 2009 taxes, It will take 4 weeks to receive my Notice of Assessment.. then I must request the Option C Printout - which is another 2 weeks. Total = 6 weeks....

Would I be able to use my 2008 printout rather than 2009?

Send in the 2008 one, with a note saying you don't have the 2009 because you didn't file your taxes. You can then file your taxes, get the 2009 Option C printout, and send it in later, asking that it be added to your file. The file sits in limbo for quite a while waiting to be looked at.
I didn't send in an Option C printout - because I have no income and didn't file a return - just sent in an explanation. This has never been an issue.

I would suggest that you attach the letter from your employer with pay rate, and hours along with a few pay stubs as well so they know you are employed.
