Hi all,

I have applied for my child sponsorship this july. Today I received a email requesting for a option C printout. However i never lived in the year of 2013 in Canada and Canada revenue agency say that im not eligible for applying for one. When i sent in my application I did write a letter and explain this. But i still receive this request. Please request all to advice me what shoul be done.

Thanks

tell them again, and show proof you were not living/working in Canada during that time. (ie: paystubs, lease agreement, tax records for the country you lived in, letter from CRA confirming you can't get one, etc.)

I live in Belgium and applied to sponsor my husband outland. I have sent copies of my pay stubs of the past year and they accepted it. They only want to see that you are working and earning money, I guess.

I just now called up CRA and they said they cannot send a letter that I will not be able to get option C print out. Is it ok if i send them my tax returns filed in the country of origin i lived last year.

Thanks

Hi

I have sent a letter explaining the reason why I was not able to furnish the option C printout along with documents of my income during my absence in Canada. I even called the CIC callcentre and agent informed me that since they have requested additional documents, my application will reviewed soon. But i see on this forum, people submit the documents and are informed application goes back in the queue. Please advice what's next.

Thanks.

They call it a bring forward day so for example if they give you 45 days to reply they will then look in the computer and look for your documents. They gave me 45 days to apply and two days after that date i received a response about my documents. That's my experience. This may not be in all cases.

You mean to say you received response on the 47th day after you sent in the documents.

yes unfortunately . I was pretty ticked off , as i sent in the documents the same day i received the email request from them. It has put us behind 2 months :(

What documents did they requested from you? It was the option C form they wanted from me and I had specified my case in the first instance while sending all the application that im not eligible to receive one. However they requested for one. it is sheer waste of time and unnecessary delay.
