Hi, Basically I am a brit and unfamiliar with what this actually is, Could some one help brake it down, I know it's to do with taxes.

Also my wife I don't think will be able to get this, Is there something else we could send I have heard of a T4 but again not sure what that is.

Also if any one has not included a Option C print out in there application what did you do and how did that effect you, thank you for any response.

Call 1-800-959-8281 and ask for it. Whoever is the sponsor will have to include it.

From memory it basically confirms whether or not the sponsor is on social assistance which is one of the criteria that is checked to determine eligibility to sponsor. As far as I'm aware it's not optional and you need a really good reason to not include it.

From what I understand, a Canadian T4 is equivalent to a UK P60

If you do not provide an Option C printout, you need to provide other evidence of income and finances.

Letter of employment and bank statements showing her income been paid into her account would suffice?
If you have filed any tax report in 2011 or 2012 or any last year, you need to include option c print out. Otherwise other income records is required. If you don't get option c print out from CRA (canada revenue agency), you need to clarify why you did not include option c print out. Although other proof is ok for the process, it is recommended to get option c... One Question to u- You name for this forum is motherbuddha. Why you chose this name? I mean Are u Buddhist or you go to Nepal-birthplace of Lord Buddha? Just curious. I am from Lumbini, Nepal that's why curious to know

Yes that can work. Also a letter explaining that she has only worked for so long and hasn't been able to file taxes :)

I haven't lived in Canada for 13 years and am now trying sponsor my wife so we can all move to Canada. Because I haven't filed income tax in 13 years, should I NOT get an Option C and just use my pay stubs from Korea and a letter from my employer?

I have not lived in Canada for 11 years, live in Korea as well, get an option C.

When I filed for my wife to come over I was unable to include an option C as I had been living in the UK for 3 years and hadn't filed Canadian taxes. I included recent pay stubs for a job I had started in Canada 2 months before filing as well as bank statements, and my p45 from the UK and had no problem getting approved as the sponsor.

My wife (Canadian citizen) left Canada right after she finished University to live with me in Germany and declared herself a non resident at that point (Jan 2011). She never declared taxes in Canada in her life. We will write a short explaination why she does not provide an option c printout and we will add a letter from her current employer in Germany stating the details about her work and monthly salary. Since there is no minimum financial requirement for spousal sponsorship that should be sufficient.

Let's hope that will satisfy CIC. ;)
