hello im about to send our application to sponsor my hub. was going thru the checklist and came across option c printout as i can see it is a must to send, but i read in this forum if you do not have one then T4 is fine. im panicking because some said it takes up to three months to get in the mail. cant we get that from H R block?
please anyone help me with this .

Personally I wouldnt stray from the checklist when putting your documentation together. I requested an Option C printout and received it in about 1 week in the mail. Also if you opt not to submit your Option C printout follow the procedures on the checklist and write a written explaination to why your unable to submit an Option C printout and also complete question 19 on the checklist.

Question 19 on the Sponsor Document Checklist (IMM 5491). In the section for supporting documents.
 
yes i guess if im sending option C i do not need to complete to answer as it says IF you are not producing the print out and you you are making less than necessary. im only sponsoring my husband and he has no dependent children or any family members to be sponsored with him . there s no minimum requirement here if im not mistaken ?
 
there is no minimum income, but you MUST provide the Option C. Reasons for not providing it would be that you are living overseas, or have not filed taxes for several years, but you'd have to have a good reason.

Unfortunately, not knowing about it is not a good reason. Call Revenue Canada ASAP on Monday morning, and you should have it by the end of the following week.

Delaying putting in your application by 2 weeks is much better than the 2 month delay you would have if they sent the application back requesting the Option C.
 
i will call them monday morning and have them send it .

My Option C took about a week to get in the mail. It is not an hard thing to request.
 
Our option C came the next day after calling Canada Revenue.

And if you read the small print on the application form, it does state one of the main reasons an application is returned is due to not having the option C form in the package.

I would call the revenue and get them to send it to you before sending the application off.
 
YES Abgelbrat i was doing a final check before sending the whole thing then i took a look at that and saw option C thing at first i thought it similar to T4 . i called them this morning they said it ll be here in a week or ten days .

Hello, I called CRA when I was in the Philippines and requested for Option C, they are very friendly and they even mailed it to me in the Philippines. So, don't worry and request one.
