Well… Canadian on the 1st it is then :)
Damn, I was hoping you would request an in-person, because I wanna know how it works. I'm still quite far from this stage, but when it arrives, I will try to get an in-person ceremony. As much as I want to become a Canadian as soon as possible, it's a once in a lifetime thing, so I want it to be as memorable as possible!

With some of the unexpected oath ceremony cancellations happening, it's better not to take the chance of rescheduling unless your ready to deal with bumps down the road.

I have read this thread and now am starting to rethink my options I really wanted an in person ceremony, but it looks like I will take what I get to avoid delays.

I don't have the oath letter yet, but my online tracker updated today to show, "Scheduled for Citizenship oath."

Since I don't have the letter, I don't know yet if I will be asked to take the ceremony online or in-person. I prefer in-person, since it's an important milestone and all, so naturally, there is a part of me that is nervous they will ask me to do the ceremony online.

Has anyone here opted for an in-person ceremony over an online one? I know it will take a little longer to process the application but if it's just a month or so, I don't mind. If it's several, I may be better off just doing it online. Does anyone have any experience with this or have an idea on what kind of timeline to expect in such a circumstance?

Thanks in advance.
Hi, were you able to opt for in-person in the end? Thanks!
Also just a quick question, were you able to choose the date for ceremony? Thank you very much!
