Hello Guys,

Just want to ask you about your predictions for 470 CRS score???? do you think we would get an invitation soon??? will it affect us the new rules???

I was thinking of applying to australia, but I prefer canada, so do I have a real opportunity with 470???

Thank you in advance for your help

470 is a very competitive score. Even a couple of draws pulling out 2000+ each time would push the cutoff to early 470s.

Thank you for your help,,, but I see many people saying that the new cut off would be around 480.

again thank you for your reply and help

cut off will not be the same, depends on a lot of factors...
early 2016 the cut off fell to 450 also, so anything above that should be fine if you ask me...

good luck

Speculation.

Nobody other than IRCC knows the composition of the pool (number of candidates at a particular score) at any given point in time. Nor does anybody other than IRCC knows how many ITAs get pulled in each draw. Those variables collectively decide the draw cutoff.

470 is competitive now because 450 was competitive back in the day when IRCC was sending out 3000 ITAs/month. Even though there are 15/30/50 additional points for education/work in Canada, the pool composition at the upper end wouldn't undergo dramatic change. This end of the pool was always the 90th percentile and above so I imagine that 450 may shift to 470 in the medium term. It will slide down to 450 odd if IRCC persists with sending out 4000+ ITAs/month.

In conclusion, 470 is a very competitive score. And I'm just repeating myself now. :)

Your analysis is spoton but do you think that ircc will continue to send 2000+ ita after dec?

Can't think of any reason they wouldn't. Immigration targets moved slightly north and backlog is considerably reduced.

Missed opportunity on 16th by 3 points. I just hope they dont revert back to mid 2016 trend of 700-1000 ita and raise it again nxt year end. Thanks for your promt reply mate..cheers
