Opportunities in Canada - Help plz URGENT

Hi People,

My brother is planning to go for MBA in Canada and I have few questions if you guys can help please. So, my bro has been working with a telecom company for the last 3 years now and he is keen to pursue MBA in Canada now.

Question 1. What specialization in MBA (in finance or some other field ) is the best to choose to grab a good job and PR in future?
Question 2. which sector has more opportunities engineering or managing?

If you guys have any suggestions regarding my brother's plan please post a reply. Appreciate your reply and time. I am settled in NZ and there are not much opportunities here hence he decided to go for Canada.

i believe for FSW, Canada looks more for science/medical professionals. I have an MBA, and I can tell you from experience, having an MBA does not guarantee any sort of employment or even a leg up in the application process (in fact I get more hits on my resume when I take my degree off). MBA's are a dime a dozen these days, meaning the business world is getting flooded with people with this degree. Here is the link to show you what they are looking for - again most are engineering or medical related. so to answer your question - if engineering is an option, go for that over management!. Also, quite a few professions have already met their cap. They seem to be more concerned about experience rather than degree, unless the applicant has a PHD.

Most work visas need to start with an actual job offer from an employer, who needs to apply for a Labor Market Opinion to prove they have exhausted all efforts to find a canadian to do the job. This can be very hard as a business professional, unless there is some specific specialty the person has experience with. To be honest, I've found my MBA to be more of a waste of money than an opportunity maker. I'm in the US, so perhaps it is different in Canada. Though, I would bet it's not.
