Good evening fellow Canadavisa members. I will get to the point rather quickly.
I entered Canada as a visitor in April 2011 and proceeded to file for a PR with my wife who was sponsoring me. Upon my entrance I had no stamp or physical proof of entry, my US passport was simply scanned.
The latter sentence is relevant because I found that a hindrance in trying to apply inside Canada for a visitor extension. Instead I talked to a border guard at Fort Erie, drove down to there, flagpoled, and got a 1 year Visitor Record at the CBSA office there middle of September 2011. I got my PPR a few weeks later, went down to Buffalo in October, and personally took care of the PPR at the HSBC building, then turned around and landed that same day.
So physically I was in Canada before being a PR from April 2011 to October 2011, and have been a PR ever since.
The eligibility calculator states, giving them the information I've given to you:
Any help on this would be useful given the length of time this process takes. Obviously I'd rather get the citizenship as soon as possible but minimize risk of denial or, almost as bad, an RQ.

But would it be a wise idea to apply that soon, like August 2014.. instead of in maybe November 2014 going purely off my PR time? Is there an extra burden of proof when using days in Canada before you were a PR toward meeting basic residence requirement? The lack of proof of "physical presence" is why I decided to physically go down to Fort Erie instead of apply inside Canada for visitor extension -- my passport was not stamped nor was I given anything for me to show anyone I arrived in Canada in April 2011.According to the information you provided, you will meet the basic residence requirement on 2014-07-13.
