Opinion for taking Graduate Certificate and then job opportunities

Hi,

I am from India.
Bachelor's Degree 4 years
4 Years IT Experience.

I am planning to take a graduate certificate in project management or business management and then search for jobs in Canada. But is this a good option? If not kindly quote on a good one.

If this is a good option, kindly tell that which colleges are the best in achieving the certificate.

Will I be able to get a PR post this?

Please suggest.

hi

if your graduate certificate program is 2 years long, you may get up to 3 years pgwp. but if it is only 1 year in length, you will only qualify for 1 year pgwp. in a worse case scenario that you do not find a job immediately after you get your pgwp, you will not get a 1 year canadian experience. therefore, you dont get extra points for that. you only get extra points for the canadian education. but with a 2 year program, even if you do not find a job immediately, in the three years pgwp you are sure to get at least a year of job experience.

it is possible to get 1 year work experience after a 1 year program. however, that is assuming you get a job immediately after you get approval for your pgwp. best way would be to network while still studying. and if you will work part time while studying, try to get a job as close to your program as possible. also, if you do part time job, maybe you can ask your employer to consider you for a permanent position after you graduate. a valid job offer means additional points in your crs score.
