Dear Members Residing in Canada,

As a banker with a Higher Diploma Business Administration Diploma Graduate from Ontario, with an experience in working in Canada while studying for 4 years, in addition to 7 years current banking experience. Currently working as a Commercial Account Manager in a Leading Bank in UAE.

Will the subject course simplify the job hunt, once arriving?

Regrads,

Otto

CSC is a good way to finally move to Investment Advisor or move on further. The process take about 5-7 years minimum. In an FI one is normally required to work as a customer care rep( taking care of sales and service), with a proven good result move on to FSR( after CSC), then senior FSR , then FCG ( after completing Wealth Management ) then FA, later on sales manager/ director.
But it is not CSC alone which can get first job. The first job require Canadian experience and too recent. I dont think 7 years old Canadian Experience would be given much weight. You may have to get hired for CSR and then complete CSC then move on to FSR ......
There are other opportunities after completing CSC and opportunities can be see on the website of CSI.
I have seen managers of FI's immigrating to Canada starting at CSR level and finally moving ahead and becoming managers again. FI's do not hire managers directly who do not have Canadian experience.

Thats not good! I am currently working on my CSC and will be taking the 1st exam very soon. But your reply isnt at all encourging. I might have to think twice about it, costing a few bucks to get that done! With no positive outcome!
