Opened a bank account with Scotia. Need to wire the funds. Please Help!

I don't know about WU for GIC account. But for startright Scotia account WU failed because there was a difference between sender and beneficiary account details.

Can u please tell how u transfer ur funds to western union??
As m also planning to pay gic through western union because banks are charging more against 1 dollar.... so the process which i am going to follow is to transfer 10200$ +50$more as transcation cost from my own account to the account which WU specified as our PAN no. is also attached.

Please tell me whether this is a right way to transfer through WU or not??

Unfortunately my wire transfer has been rejected because i sent through western union and not my own account. Now waiting for the funds to return to WU's account.

I am using ICICI too, I still did not get the answers for 1. transit code required by ICICI is 9 digits but Scotia mentioned a 5 digit number as transit code.
2. ICICI says beneficiery cannot be in india but scotia my address should be the beneficiary address.

ICICI also has branch in Canada. Why don't use them?

Yes but ICICI Canada is not associated with immigration Canada, Scotia bank gic is required for applying under sds category.

I am from india.i have been trying to transfer the gic amount through my state bank of India to my gic account and the transaction is getting rejected stating that there is a mismatch in beneficiary name or address even though the gic account address and that of my bank account in India address is same as that of the passport.what might be the reason.? Please help me as my transaction got rejected for the 5th time

I am also facing some issues regarding two points:

1. Transit Code: Scotia has given a number with 5 digits in their mail but ICICI is asking for 9 digits. What should I enter?

2. Canada Address: Scotia has mentioned to enter my local address in India but ICICI is not accepting my Indian address, they want Canadian address. Should I enter the address of my Canadian university? Will the address matter?

Can I use telegraphic transfer service through western union for sending money to my international account? Because my local bank doesn't provide this service.

2. How much time will it take for the wire to complete?- From a 1 day to 5 days
3. What document will I receive as a proof that I have made a wire transfer and will I get some sort of POF statement as well? - Nothing from ICICI but u will get a mail in scotia account after 5 days.
4. I am using ICICI bank. When filling up beneficiary information, I am asked for a transit number. What is the transit number? - 35972 (its there in your mail)
5. What are these fields 57, 59, 70?? I am not able to see these in my Bank Interface !!! - Need not bother on them

I registered myself for the Start Right program with Scotia Bank on their website. I was able to successfully open a Bank account and I have also received my account number. They have given me details about the wire transfer. I am in India and I was wondering if anyone (with account in ICICI Bank preferably) has made a wire transfer to Scotia?

They have asked me to wire the funds using the following details (I am confused whether to use NOSCCATT (this is the main hub) or NOSCCATTCOL (the beneficiary branch swift code?)
