Hi All,

I am currently in Canada as intra-company transferee (on closed work permit) and just wondering if any other company gives me an offer letter in Canada, can I apply for open work permit based on same.

Has anyone been through similar situation please let me know.

No - you can't apply for an open work permit based on a job offer. Open work permits are only granted in specific circumstances: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=177&top=17

It depends what kind of job offer you have and which provinces you're applying under. You'll need to research the different provincial programs to see what it takes to qualify.

The short answer is no. Unfortunately they won't process your OWP any faster just because you have a job offer.
