Hello,
I am not getting enough points to apply until i complete my 2 years of work experience in canada. But my problem is, i am getting that 2 years xp on May 2019 and my Open work permit expires by JUNE16th 2019. My Employer refused to give an LMIA inorder to extend my permit. I am planning to apply for the PR under Canadian class XP. In this i decided to apply for a course as well so i could apply for study permit.
My questions is can i apply for a course and obtain a study permit while i am in PR pool???

If you are prepared to apply as soon as you get the ITA, you will be eligible to apply for a "bridging open work permit." The only catch is that you have to apply before your old permit expires, but as long as you submit the BOWP application in time, you would be eligible to continue working...

Hi,
But it would be a tight call...because not a even a month when I get 2 year xp I am not sure when I would get the ITA once I have the 2yr xp...at the time the cut off should be the same as now right. If it is high then at that time I will have no option other than going back to my country...

Provided you have all your documents in place, it can be done easily. You should do an upfront medical. ITAs are issued approximately every 2 weeks.

Hi. I was also in the same situation. I completed my 1 yr on October and my PGWP expired on nov 3 2018. The main thing that will make this extremely stressful situation a success is if you have crs points above 450.
This makes you confident that you’re surely going to get an ITA once you enter the pool. So I rewrote IELTS to get a clb 9 some months before, and my crs points rose to the 470’s range, then scanned and prepared most of my documents to a USB including setting up my upfront medical appointment back in September . Immediately you get an ITA, apply for the pr, and then quickly for a BOWP with your AOR .

About the study permit thingy, I have no idea how that works hand in hand with a pr since one is supposed to be temporary and the other permanent

Yes, it will be tight. That´s why you can start preparing your documents now.

You can also look into whether or not you might be available for an IEC permit, what is your country of citizenship?

You can check your eligibility here.

Have you taken a language exam (IELTS, CELPIP)? If not, that would be an important first step.
